Frequently asked questions
What is ticket deflection?
A deflected ticket is one that would have gone to a human support agent but is resolved by an AI agent instead. It can be a full resolution or a self-service answer that removes the need for human involvement.
How is human cost saved calculated?
We multiply deflected tickets by the fully-loaded human cost per ticket. Cost per ticket is based on average minutes to resolve and your fully-loaded hourly labor cost.
What is the review rate?
Not every deflected ticket is perfect. The review rate is the percentage of deflected tickets that still need a quick human check or correction. Review cost reduces net savings.
Does this include platform or infrastructure cost?
Yes — the monthly platform/tooling field covers your agent builder, vector database, observability, and other fixed stack costs. Variable API cost is entered separately.
When is an AI support agent a clear ROI?
The best cases are high-volume, repetitive tickets with low complexity and a short human handle time. Complex, regulated, or emotionally sensitive tickets usually need a hybrid human-in-the-loop design.
Figures are directional. Deflection rate should be measured from a pilot, not assumed. Cost per human ticket includes fully-loaded labor only; it does not include software, overhead, or retention impact.
